I’m one of those people that can only drink cafe made coffee. And not just from any cafe, I have a very select list of my favs. It’s an illness I’m sure.
So when my mate Russell from Bunbury cafe – Corners on King, joined our B Directory gang, I was pretty excited.
Prior to this I had admired Russell’s cafe in the usual way – online stalking. Mostly drooling over their amazing creations on Instagram. So when Rus joined our gang, I knew I had to go ‘old school’ and drop in for a visit on my next drive down south.
Now it’s not very often the food in Instagram pics looks better in real life BUT, Rus and his partner Greg have 100% done exactly this. When I walked into their cafe I legit was like “HOLY CRAP”… and so were my 3 kids. Not only were we greeted with the largest array of absolutely stunning treats but get this – most of them are gluten free and or vegan. And don’t even get me started on the swanky fit out.
It was an instant win but when Rus told me that all of those tasty treats were made IN – HOUSE by Greg, I was blown away impressed (ask my husband, that doesn’t happen easily).
You can be forgiven for thinking that delish food and swish decor is all it takes to make a kick ass cafe. There is no doubt Rus and Greg have this down packed but there truly is so much more to this duo than an eye for pretty things. The pair possess a strong business acumen that sets them apart from their competitors. It was apparent to me that absolute hard work, dedication and attention to the finest details of customer service was the daily norm for them both.
Corners on King is an absolute treasure and a must see on your travels to our gorgeous South west (if you don’t live in Bunbury that is). Oh and did I mention they are legit located about 2 mins off the main highway. #winning.
